Default Does a Rental Agreement Have to State the Total Rent

My question involves an eviction in the state of: California

I am Master Tenant and have each new Sub-tenant sign a Rental Agreement. What I am not sure about is if I have to add a Total Rent paid. Some of the information I have read says Yes, and other information either doesn't mention it.
I want to these documents to be legally binding and any information on this would be helpful.

Default Re: As Master Tenant Do I Legally Have to Add My Totaly Rent in Rental Agreement

What have you been reading? Do you mean, do you have to explicitly take the monthly rent described in the lease, multiply it by the number of months in the lease, then state the total in order for a lease to be valid? No, although it's not unusual to do so. If the lease is for a specified term (as opposed to documenting a month-to-month or similar arrangement) you do need to state the total number of months that a lease will remain in effect. Read this.
