Clearing a Record of Aggravated Vehicular Assault

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Tennessee
My sister was driving drunk (2nd offense other one in Michigan) in Franklin Tenn, with boyfriend in the back of the truck...lost control of the truck and he was hurt...state charged her with Felony charge for him being hurt...he tried to fight it but state wouldn't drop the charge...sister got 15 months or more and did 8- 9 months in county jail out for good behavior...she's been sober and working since then...but want's to move on to a different job...can't even get a chance with a felony on her record from 11years ago.. want's to get a pardon or anything else available...she doesn't have alot of money being a waitress so is this something she can get legal aid to help her with...

I am not aware of any legal aid office that will help with this type of issue, but the only way your sister is going to find out what they can offer in terms of services or low-cost referrals is to call and ask.

yep...called Legal aid and they said to contact lawyer...is a pardon the only way she will ever get this felony off her record...?? She's going in to talk to the DA next week to see what avenues she has...She said she would pay the $5000-6000 if she knew for sure it was going to come off her record...she's not going to pay that much money and find out the paper work is never processed and never gets to the anybody to be signed...?????
