I bought a house, and on the date of close of escrow, when my loan was to be funded, the seller unexpectedly blocked the final transfer. His motive is apparently so he can do additional mold testing on the house he is buying. My realtor says he can do this because he made buying his house a contingency, and he never released this contingency. I don't mind a delay, but he has left me in limbo for a week. Do I have any recourse to make him give a new closing date?
