Default Money in Online Poker Account

My question involves personal finance in the State of:

I made deposits into an online poker account totalling $3500 over 3 months. This money was instantly credited to my online poker account, however was not taken out of my checking account. The poker site (Fulltilt Poker) has now been siezed by the government and my checking account has not been touched. My question is what is going to happen to my pending transactions. Is there a timelimit on how long this company has to take the money that I deposited? I have the money waiting for the trasaction but I am moving out of country next month and will be closing my account. I dont want to have problems with credit in the future, and dont know what to do?

You don't indicate what state you are in. If you are in the US, you're screwed. Those sites are overseas and the mere action of making your deposit, which had to go through an overseas payment processor as well, was illegal as well. This is not the first such site to get into financial trouble for whatever reasons (either government involvement, intentional fraud, or just plane poor business practices).

There's no "statutory period" that applies because the US won't enforce any sort of banking rule against a foreign entity on behalf of citizens conducting illegal activity to begin with. I'm fortunate, I've only had a few bucks down at UB.

Have you tried approaching your bank and revoking authorization for the transfers?

JK is right, you need to talk frankly to your bank and tell them that under no circumstances do you authorize transactions from the overseas processor.
