Default Cased Closed, Bail Forfeiture After TBWD - What's the Status of the Case

I am wondering if anyone has ran into this before?

I have sent a check for the bail, sent in the request for TBWD and this is what I see on the website.

    ************************************************** ***********
    Court: Pomona Courthouse North
350 West Mission Blvd., Pomona, CA 91766
    (213) 742-1928
    Violation Date: 04/10/2011
    Initial Due Date: 06/09/2011
    Case Status: Case Closed
    Disposition: Bail forfeiture on 05/23/2011
    ************************************************** ***

The biggest problem I have is that I live in WA, so going to the court in person is out of the option.

I tried to call the number on there and call the court house # and not able to talk to a live person.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Alan

Also, I have checked the box for "Trial by Declaration" and wrote "Not guilty" on the check.. but the court still made an error like this..

If you believe the court did not receive or did not properly process your request for a TBWD, you will need to follow up with the court to see what happened. This is not something we can investigate for you.

The problem is, I have tried to call them. Can't get any live perosn to talk to and I live in Seattle. So I guess I'll try and write a letter to them.

So I guess I'll try and write a letter to them.
And do so ASAP... And try and get it to them prior to the initial due date of 06/09/2011 (just to be on the safe side).

Also, mail the letter Certified w/a Return Receipt Request that way you'll have something to show if it was received and not looked at within a reasonable time period.

If I were to take a guess, I'd say that your violation is not eligible for a TBD, yet you did say that you "checked the box for 'Trial by Declaration'", and by that, I assume you mean the box on the courtesy notice which stated that you are eligible. Still, I'm curious as to what you were cited for!
I am right 97% of the time... Who cares about the other 4%!

Thanks! I will try to do that ASAP.

I got cited for going 79MPH going west bound on SR-60 (60MPH) CVC 22349a. The cop cited me the ticket also told me that I can Trial by Declaration, and I have done this before years ago when I was still a CA Resident.

And yes, the check box is from the courtesy notice. I also have the image proof from the bank that the check they deposit has "Not Guility" written on it.

The date they deposit the check is 5/24, and the ticket status says Bail Forfeiture 5/23.

I also wrote Not Guilty on my check, enclose a separate paper stating that I pleaded not guilty, and checked the box for "Trial by Declaration" on the remittance advice. But the court never mailed me the form TR-205 as they are supposed to. I had to personally go to the courtroom to pick one up. And I don't know whether one can just download the form from the Internet because the clerk set and stamped the due date of the TWD on the form. I don;t know whether one can leave the due date blank, if he uses the form he downloaded. Anyway, obviously all these are too late for the OP.
