My question involves marriage law for the State of: Virginia - If two Virginia residents (one male & one female, not homosexuals) are married in another state (eg. Georgia), does the state of Virginia recognize the marriage?
Yes.
(Example: I lived in PA, but we were married in MD - the marriage was legally recognized).
The only time a marriage would be in question would, as you might know, be in the case of either same-sex or common-law marriages.

Thanks for the response. My question concerns the state of VA not PA. Just because PA recognizes the marriage of PA residents married outside the state of PA does not mean VA does. I need an answer specific to VA marriage law.
Every US state will recognize a legal heterosexual marriage which took place in a different State.
The example I gave was just that.
An example.
You're welcome.

Every state recognizes heterosexual marriages from other states.
It doesn't matter what two states are in question; the answer is yes, state B will recognize a heterosexual marriage performed in state A.
To put it another way, there is no state that does not recognize heterosexual marriages performed in any of the other 49 states. Plus the District of Columbia.
Are we clear on this now?
