How Do I Remove My Ex-Wife's Name from My Vehicle Title

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Virginia.

A few years ago, my wife and I seperated. She left the state and eventually wound up in Oregon. She would not contact me and when she was evicted from her apartment in Oregon, I lost track of her and currently do not know her whereabouts. When we seperated, we agreed that I would get the truck. Unfortunately I could never get her to sign seperation papers. She took no part in the divorce proceedings and after the requisite seperation period had passed I was granted an in rem divorce, meaning that no property was awarded. At that time, the truck was not paid off. I paid the truck off and when I recieved the title it had both of our names on it. Since I have no way of getting in touch with her or her family, how do I get her name off of the title to my truck? Thanks!

from what you described, short of an eraser, you aren't going to get her name off it. There is nothing in your divorce that would allow the action and you have no other justification to remove her name so unless she releases her interest in the vehicle, it looks like you are stuck with a title in two names.
