Unhappy Is it Better to Seek Help from Child Support Enforcement or to Go Back to Court

My question involves child support in the State of: GA
finally my divorce was granted a month ago it took a more than a year, filed while been 5 months pregnant, reason why , my husband assaulting me. since then; the divorce was difficult , taking him several times for contempt orders unpaid medical bills and attorney fees and support,
while the divorce was getting final the judge ordered him to pay child support, and he still does not, last time the judge sent him to jail for another non payment which he later on paid while been incarcerated once again, now after the divorce he has not pay any of the child support my son was born on July 2010 right before the final hearing he quit his job, to make sure he would no have income, for the amount my attorney was asking but the judge order a good amount we proved that he is capable to earn income.
the same day of the divorce he was served with another order of back child support of his previous child, he lied telling in court that he was making payment, but that day they served him with papers and a order of close to $10,000 to pay to his first child.
    his licensed got suspended .
my question is looking that he wasnt making any payments, called my attorney and she advised me no to file yet to child support enforcement, because they would not do anything if he does not have a job, and retired from the navy they can take his check , but it would take several months and once i go with them i can not take him to court, or to my attorney for help
am ALL CONFUSED she told me that next month I can go to court???, no longer can afford her, i don't know what to do , what she meant with court???, we live in the same town, and they told me i can get faster result if I take him to court??? how I do that?? please help/

You have been told the pluses and minuses of each approach, and it's your decision to make. As your attorney indicates, if it's presently the case that if your ex- has no income to attach, there's no income to garnish.
