Consumers Energy Easement Right of Way for Tree Trimming

My question involves an easement in the state of:Michigan

My family farm has been in the family before electricity was available in this area. Consumers Energy comes down the road and trims/removes trees for power line clearance. While I am fine with that, they seem to be saw happy. They trim trees that are in now way an issue and intrude off the road into our front yard - more than 60 fee off the road, to trim what they "think" will be a problem. What is their legal right here?

do you know where their actual ROW is? They can trim anything within that ROW and unless the poles are down the middle of the road, they may very well be within their ROW.

I would call the power company and ask them if they would be so kind as to provide the dimension of their ROW in front of your house. The reason I suggest being nice is:

1. they have ready access to the information
2. they don't have to provide it to you
3.finding the info on your own is a lot harder than if they are willing to give you the info.
