My question involves a background check in the State of: Virginia. Last year I held a seasonal job and I disclosed a felony conviction on my resume. The gentleman completeing the paperwork for the background check informed me that they only went back 5 years. I was allowed to work there without incident even after the background check was done. The crime was committed 13 years ago. This year, upon applying for the same position, I was told I could not become employed with the company because of that conviction. What do I do now?
