Default Do I Need to Hire an Attorney to Change My Name

My question involves name change laws in the State of: Austin, Texas

I've actually had problems with people misspelling, misspronouncing and mixing my name with other people for about 8 years. I finally decided this year that I just want to change it so there's no complications and its easier for everyone in the sense that it won't be so hard to spell or pronounce. What forms do I need to get to obtain the name change? And also I spoke with a woman today where I received my birth certificate that I said I needed to hire an attorney. I was hoping if someone could confirm this is true. I'm only 24 so I'm not really too sure about the entire name change process.
