Default Marrying a Spanish Citizen in the U.S.

My question involves marriage law for the State of Wisconsin with a Spanish citizen.

Can you please tell me what is the easiest way to do this.

I am going to marry a Spanish woman and bring her to WI. Would it be easier to bring her here and marry her in WI/Vegas, etc and do the paper work here? or for me to go to Spain and marry her there and start whatever paper work I need to do there?

Thank you very much for your help,

    Tony

What "paperwork" are you talking about? A marriage license?

If you're asking about immigration, read a few of the great many threads in the immigration forum on adjustment of status after marriage and associated visa issues.

    Hi there,

Well, If she is here as visitor and I marry her in WI (or anywhere in the US), How is going to be able to work ?
What do I need to marry her? My ID and her passport? What happened after I get the marriage certificate?

    Thanks

Really, a quick google search can help you further.

For example you can start here and keep clicking around the site.

And as Aaron said, you can read other posts. There is a wealth of information here.

Tourists can't work. If she enters as a tourist with the intention of marrying and staying in the U.S., she's opening herself up to being accused of immigration fraud - tourists attest that they have no intent to immigrate - and immigration fraud can result in a permanent bar against entry.

If you want to do things right, seek a fiancee visa, marry her within the 90 day window, petition to adjust her status, and seek employment authorization (EAD); or marry her then petition to have her enter the U.S. on a spouse visa, the rest being the same.
