New York Ticket with Errors

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: So over the weekend I was driving to Atlantic City with a bunch of friends. The car rental wasnt in my name but i was driving because my friend was really tired and needed to sleep. I was following another van of friends when we got pulled over. I was going 86 in a 65 zone. At first i wasnt sure he was pulling me over as well because in Ontario the cops cant target more then one car for speeding. Anyway i got a ticket and they spelt my name from and my birthdate is wrong.
Now this is about 5hrs away from where i live. how do i take care of this?
I have a court date May 18th it says.
Will this ticket be dismissed ebcause of the mistakes?

You aren't in Ontario.
Cops can pull over as many as they want.
The errors are not going to invalidate your ticket.
If they have it close enough that they can match it up with the driver's records, they will.

So either pay the fine or drive 5 hrs to show up in court.?

Bingo, or get a lawyer to see if he can stand for you but since you appear to have nothing approaching a defense, paying the fine would probably be the best solution.
