I have a few questions that I would like to ask concerning SSI/SSDI Offsets:
Some basic information to help:
SSI past due benefit amount is $3700
SSDI past due benefit amount is $39,700
1) Is it as simple as subtracting the SSI amount from the SSDI amount ($39,700-$3700= $36,000) to figure how much my SSDI back pay will be?
2) I may have some other "offsets" (Taxes, VA Medical Bills, etc.). Will they subtract these items from the back pay or will they garnish my monthly check at 15%?
3) If they do garnish my monthly benefit, can they subtract 15% for EACH bill or just 15% for all?
Thanks for any help
