Massachusetts Breach of Contract for Non-Payment Credit Card

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Massachusetts
I have been issued a summons, left by a Sheriff, in my door. It is a summons for Breach of Contract & Quantum Meruit I am giving 20 Days to reply and would like to know the best method to reply? The plaintiff FIA Card Services AKA Bank of America. I am not in a position at present to repay and am not sure that i owe the Amount Stated $20,000. +... Any suggestions would be appreciated
