Speeding Ticket Near a Public Park

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: CA (22350 VC-I)

I recently received a speeding ticket for doing 40mph in a 25mph zone. The street is labeled at 45mph and then as you pass a park the speed quickly drops to 25mph from the hours of 6am to 10pm. The officer was parked in an adjacent outlet and noted the speed on his radar. I was hoping to get some advice on the best way to move forward as the ticket sits at $395. This is especially frustrating as my speed would have been deemed appropriate 5 ft before or 5 feet after the park. Any help would be appreciated!

Are you stating that there is something improper about the speed limit sign? Is your line of vision blocked or impaired as you approach it?

^^ I think he is asking what legal theories he might pursue to avoid the conviction. Like is it a speed trap, stuff like that.

Something obviously is improper about the speed limit sign. According to California Department of Transportation regulations, speed limit signs should be erected so there is no more than a 10 mph decrease in speed limit between signs.

Also, I'd suspect the 25 mph speed limit is not justified by an engineering and traffic survey.
