Default Emancipation Due to Parental Neglect

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: North Carolina. I am 17 and have been longing for the opportunity to attend public school. When I was 15 my mom signed official withdrawal papers for me to leave public school, consenting that she would home school me from that point on. However she failed to do that. Two years passed and now in a few months I am facing the world with only a 9th grade education. I asked could I attempt the GED and she said no. I have held a full time job for the last 10 months, have adequate housing, and transportation. With my mother refusing me the right to education do I face a good chance at the Emancipation process?
