Default Does a Supported Neglect Claim from Dcf Appear on Background Checks

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Massachusetts

During a divorce/custody battle, my ex became physically violent with me shortly after I had our son (the only reason we got married to begin with). He was only a few months old. I took out a restraining order to keep my ex from continually showing up at my parent's house where my son and I were then living, he was constantly demanding to/threatening to take our son and had left me with a lot of credit card debt in my name that he refused to contribute toward. He even lost all 3 of his jobs so he wouldn't have to pay child support and at the time constantly used our child as a way to punish me for leaving him. Anyways, during one "drop-off" he became verbally abusive and I had enough so I wasn't going to leave my son with him, I was just going to leave and go home. He went to grab our son out of the car anyways and shoved me out of the way to do so, slamming my head into the side of the car. I got up and pulled him away from our son, and my fingernails scratched his neck. He later went to the police, said I attacked him with our son in my arms and kicked down his door, etc, the whole thing was completely fabricated. The police officer filed a complaint with DCF against me. When they came to investigate and get to the bottom of things, seeing how bad things were between my son's father and I, they supported a claim of Neglect against both of us. My question is, will this information appear on a background check, and what will it mean for my goal to teach? I am halfway through my BA and wondering if I am wasting my time/money...

Also worth mentioning, my ex later dropped the assault charges he had filed that day. The entire thing was in retaliation to the orginal restraining order that I had taken out and later vacated. Things between us are better now and I'm married and have a family, but as I look toward the future and going back to school I'm afraid of the damage that may have been done.

There are fifty states in the U.S., and each has its own laws about who may or may not be licensed as a teacher.

As a result of this finding, is your name on your state's central registry?
