Personal Check Not Good

I sold a car for a small amount of money, under $1000.00, I was given a personal check. The person asked me to wait till the end of the week to cash it. End of the week turned into the end of the month, and so on. I have called his bank several times and have always been told the funds aren't there. I have been in contact with him several times, and always told he'll take care of it. I have even asked for the car back and nothing. We live in different states also.

[Guilty Or Not Guilty]

I would consider you going to small claims court in the city the check was handed to you. A lot of times the buyers complain the car was not working properly. If is was not, the buyer would stop payment on the check. But this is showing USF which is a crime.
