    Default Judge's Association

Is it true that a case can be overturned if by doing a public records act request, it is determined that funds involved in the case or funds paid by the defendant are sent to the judge's association which would cause a conflict of interest of the judge that presided over the case?

A defendant's contribution to some made-up organization, which (even if we assume it exists in some form) has no meaningful connection to the judge and with no reason to believe that the judge would even be aware of the contribution, would be irrelevant to the judge's ability to hear a case. If all judges are in such an "organization", do you imagine that a $1 contribution would disqualify every judge in the state from hearing your case?

If you have an actual question, identify the actual state, actual organization, and why you think the contribution would be in any way relevant.

It is an actual question. Just because it went over your head doesn't mean it's not an actual question.

They say there's no such thing as a stupid question, just a stupid person.

    No, that is not true.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.
