My question involves an eviction in the state of: Indiana
If a Land lord states that notices were put on the outside of the door and you have never gotten a notice with the exception of "Your eviction is scheduled for ______ " how liable is the landlord for making sure you got the notice. What is your recourse if you only received one notice which stated to remove your belongings? Can you file a motion or what can you file to give you more time? I was in agreement with the landlord to pay the balance of 2 NSF checks and have been paying them as I said I would in a letter that they accepted and even called my home phone and left a message stating "we have received your payment, you need to call the office on today with firm arrangements for the next payment" I have also been paying my rent on time not after the 5th of the month, yet they are still eviciting me without notice, what can I do?
