Possession With Intent to Deliver, First Time Offender

I was caught with 60 Ecstasy pills which is classified as .5 oz of heroine/cocaine and charged with 2nd degree intent to distribute and a 3rd degree possession. The pills were not mine and was arrested with the person whose drugs belonged to him. It was on his lap in my car when we were arrested. I have a lawyer and am wondering since this is my first time offense, what kind of charges could I be facing?? I am applying for PTI and have been clean for almost 2 months (since the day I was arrested). I live in New Jersey and have a pre-trial meeting with the prosecutor/my lawyer/and the other person involved in 2 weeks. Any help is much appreciated!

You've already been charged with intent to distribute and possession. You won't be seeing any other charges.

I assume what you really want to know is what penalties you might face. This varies, in particular since you have an attorney who may be able to get you a deal in which you plead to a lesser charge and wind up with only fines and probation. Discuss your options with your attorney prior to your meeting with the prosecutor.
