Default How to Limit Time a Registered Sex Offender Spends With My Children

    State of Arizona.

I want to know how to go about restricting the granddad of my 3 children from spending time alone with them. The reason is he is a registered sex offender and was convicted of having sex with his son. He spent time in jail. He is now registered. What can I do, where can I go, what do I have to file? What else do you need to know. Thank you for your help. I don't want my children to go through what he put his son went through. He is the wife's dad, and she thinks it is ok for him to spend time with them. Nothing has happened to my knowledge, but you never know. I don't want to take a chance on this.

Your post history suggests that you have previously asked questions relating to different people in different states.

If you believe your ex's father is a danger to the children but your ex- disagrees, you may bring a motion with the custody court and try to convince the custody court to forbid contact.

I take it that his convicted status is not a factor at all, right?

Yes, I am the biological father to all three children, and yes I am the actual party here. All parties live in the state of Arizona.

It really depends on the nature of the offense and how long ago it happened.
