Default Caught Shoplifting from a Grocery Store

My question involves criminal law for the state of: california

i shoplifted about 50$ worth of stuff i needed from a grocery store (while pregnant. plz dont judge me) and i went to court for this incident (8 months pregnant) where they told me to sign up and take a shoplifting class. it costs 160$ just to be put on a list, then an extra 100$ to be in the 8 hr class. being broke, alone and pregnant/ just having a baby and i have no job, just welfare, i couldnt pay or do it on time. i have court tomorrow and im scared they will take me to jail. i cant go to jail my baby needs me. does any one know what will happen to me?.

A harsher sentence for failing to complete the terms the court originally gave you. Probably hefty fines and Community Service.
