Should Child Support Be Reduced if College Student is Not Living Home

My question involves child support in the State of: New Jersey

I have a question about Child Support in the State of New Jersey. If my son isn't living at home, he is living with his girlfriend at school, should there be a reduction in child support? I am paying full child support and my portion of his college.....

Not necessarily. Who is paying his share of the rent?

In NJ, the fact that he is a student requires you to pay full child support. Doesn't matter where he lives. Even if he got his own place off campus.

He is living with his girlfriend at an apartment at school. He is not paying any rent. It just seems so unfair to have to pay the full portion and tuition

I know the exact feeling. If the additional tuition payments are optional, maybe you can work something out with the mother and your son to have some of the CS go toward the tuition along with your additional payments you are making now toward tuition.
