Child Retroactive Child Support and Physical Custody

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Oregon
I have joint physical custody of my 3 year old slightly less than 50 percent of the time. I have for two years. i just got served with child support papers stating i owe 10,000 in back support and 275.00 a month as well as trying to establish paternity giving me 30 days to contest. i have a signed copy of the Oregon parenting plan dating back two years i have not registered it with the court but it is on record with dhs. as well i have been giving the mom money regularly for the last three years. i am currently unemployed and not sure how to contest this. what are my rights ? what can i do ? what are the first steps take ? is there free legal assistance i can access in Portland ? thank you

no we have never been to court there was not a parental acknowledgement form or anything else my name is not on the birth certificate but my child has my last name
