Teacher-Student Sexual Harrassment

I was wondering what the statute of limitations was on sexual harrasment for a teacher/student relationship in the state of Illinois. There was no touching here, but suggestive comments and looks. This occured in 1988 and I am afraid of have waited too long. I have recently tried to talk to my former teacher about this who is being a complete jerk and will not respond. I was wondering if I had any leverage here whatsoever.

You waited 18 years, and now you expect a response from your former teacher? What is wrong with you, anyway?? Life isn't going your way?

You've posted your question in the wrong forum. This one addresses employment related sexual harassment.

Nonetheless, I doubt that you have any legal recourse after all this time for the incidents you allege occurred. You may want to consider psychological counseling to help you come to terms with whatever you experienced so many years ago and to help you put it behind you.
