Unpaid Speeding Ticket Back in 2000

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: NY ,,in the year 2000 i was ticketed for speeding ,,, called the court asked to set fine ,,,never heared back from , never paid the ticket and forgot about it ,,, I have an Ontario dr lic, can i call and take care of it , pay it ? is there a warrent of arrest against me ? can i cross the border without detention ?

More than likely it is still out there there, and yes, there may be a bench warrant. You should call the court of record and try to clear it up before attempting to cross the border. Crossing the border without knowing the status is probably a bad idea and may land you in jail waiting to see a judge. If you cross on a Friday, you might be waiting until Tuesday before you even get to see that judge.
