    Default California On-Site Manager Wages

My question is on California code Title 25, Article R, Section 42. The law states an apartment with more than 16 unit must have an on-site manager. Is there a wage amount set in California? My husband and I manage a building with 19 units and the market value of our unit is $1200.00, we only get $100.00 off rent ( that's it) we pay $1100.00 in rent. I read that most resident manager can pay you rent of no more than two-thirds of the market value of compliance with the California Code of Regulations. I can not locate this regulation. I fear bring this issue up with the management company.
I just got my annual lease ,is this concerned a contract? Do I work at will for $100.00?

See IWC Order 5-2001. The issue is not that you can only be charged 2/3 of your rent; the issue is that the landlord is limited in the amount of rent he can apply to your earnings when calculating your wages, with your being entitled to not less than minimum wage for your hours worked. This case discusses many of the issues involved.
