Default Collected Unemployment for Most of Last Year, May be Laid Off Again

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Texas
My husband was on unemployment from March 2010 thru the end of December. Jan 1 he started a new job (finally!) and now we are worried that the company may not make it and he'd be without a job again soon. Would he qualify to reopen his previous claim or able to start a new one?
I've tried researching this online but can't quite find the answer. It would help my stress and worry to know what our situation might be and be able to prepare for it. Thanks!

Default Re: Texas Unemployment Most of 2010, Now Maybe Layoff Again

One or the other, yes. Which one, however, would depend on how long the company stayed in business.
