My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio
Umm...NO. A warrant will be issued for your arrest for failure to appear. Your driver's license will be suspended or revoked making it virtually impossible to get a new license until cleared up. You will never know if a simple traffic stop for a minor violation will result in you being arrested and carted off to answer to the court. Getting a job will also prove difficult as a background check will alert a prospective employer.
Warrants never die...they remain active until you appear before the court or the court removes them for whatever reason.
It is worth noting that a warrant... which you were issued if you had a court date... stops the statute of limitations.
The warrant will hang around your neck until the day you die.
LOL, NO.. a bench warrant can be issued, however, and you can be taken into custody and held until your court date.
