Default Judgement Creditor is Trying to Collect More Than Judgement

My question involves an eviction in the state of: CA

I was a renter and went thru an eviction process. The rental company and I settled in court for an agreed amount which the judge asked me if I had agreed to, which I did agree to repay at a future date. The judgement included past due rent; total holdover damages; attorney's fees; and for costs (not specified). I am now getting letters from the rental company stating that I owe more ... a few thousand more. My eviction was in 12/10 ... and I had 45 days to contact the rental company to make payment or payment arrangements. I am now getting this letter and they are stating that I owe this higher amount. Which amount am I liable for? Again, the judgement which I agreed to in court was for much less.

Get out the paperwork for your judgement and look it over very carefully. Make sure that the rental company was not permitted to tack on any additional fees/costs. If not, then all you owe is the judgement.
