Default Verbal Agreement with a Friend Who Quit Paying His Part of the Bill

I dont know if i'm in the right sections but... heres my problem.

Me and my friend share a family line which we agreed to. Everything is under my name. We are under a 2 year contract, and his line ends in Oct 2011 while mine ends this July 2011. We usually take turns paying each month but he stopped just last December 2010. My friend owes me like 3 months of phone service. He moved to away a while ago and I do not know his exact whereabouts. I have his 2 numbers to reach him at. But he won't answer my calls and prefers texting me about the situation. Now he won't straight up text or pick up my calls and he knows as well as me he needs to pay up. He went out of his way to delete me off facebook as well. Obviously hes trying hard to avoid me. The other day I called his phone as a unknown called he picked up. He gave me this excuse he was working and couldn't talk right now and hung up on me. I plan on giving him another surprise call soon but I need to know what can I do. Like if I should hire a attorney over just a couple months of phone bills or something. Phone bill is almost due and I'm not like the wealthiest guy around, especially in this economy.

Additional note: Back last summer, without my permission as owner of the phone lines, my friend impersonated me at the phone store and added another line to our phone bill which, since then, our bill has gotten more pricier. I found out about a day later after i looked at the bill online, talked to him about and i wasnt pleased at all whatsoever but he told me would pay the additional and i said okay then and he did cover the additional costs for awhile. Though now im looking at 3 lines on contracts all separate, 1 including mines.

Why don't you just suspend service to the two additional lines and take them down to the lowest possible rate plan? It won't eliminate the problem but it will reduce your costs.
