Wrongly Accused of a Hit and Run

My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: TX
I was recently advised that I have a warrant for my arrest in a county in TX. At the time of the incident I was living in California. I have contacted that counties warrant division & they were no help, just told me I had a warrant for my arrest. I have never been in trouble w/ the law & am trying to figure out where to begin in the process to clear my name of this warrant. The warrant issued is from an incident that occured over 6 yrs ago. I moved to TX 5 yrs ago. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The best bet is to contact a lawyer in the county that has the warrant out for you and let him investigate.
