Default Running a Four Way Stop Sign - CVC 22450(a)

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

I got a CVC 22450a ticket for rolling stop in a 4 way stop sign. It was a residential area. Now I have to appear in court to contest.

The cop was actually parked in no parking red zone while waiting for potential offenders. Does this help fight my case? Any other pointers to fight? Thanks!

Well, did you roll through the stop or did you stop after passing the "stop line"? If the former then you're not likely to have a winning argument.. If it is the latter then you can question the officer with regards to his position and whether he can see the limit line (the stop line) from his vantage point. Although, one could reasonably assume that if he could not see the limit line, he would not have issued a citation based on a mere "guess".

Of course your best option would be to simply plead guilty, pay the fine and take traffic school (assuming you are eligible) to avoid having a violation point on your record. While traffic school MAY still be an option after trial, there is no guarantee that it will be offered to you... not every judge will make that option available AFTER a trial.
I am right 97% of the time... Who cares about the other 4%!
