Default Eviction Proceedings in Florida
We received a 5 day notice to pay earlier today for non-payment. Yet, weeks earlier, we had already given our notice to vacate by the end of the month. We already worked out the details of paying the balance due to the landlord after vacating the premises and the landlord was fine with that. The landlord then agreed to pull the eviction proceedings and have no judgement filed. However, how long does this information stay in public record and can the landlord ask for (or should we ask the landlord) to have this eviction proceeding expunged from public record as an agreement was reached?

Default Re: Eviction Proceedings in Florida
If a court action is filed, there will be a public record of the filing and the fact that the case was resolved through dismissal.
