Hi, I have a somewhat complicated question. My colleague and I are making a documentary film based on a closed door scientific symposium. There were a number of big scientists present and they were listening to a lecture and there were questions and explanations going back and forth. My film crew was filming the entire time. We are creating a documentary based on what went on. Because we have over 10 hours of footage we are forced to cut it down to roughly under an hour. The film is narrated but at no time does the narrator state opinions of the scientists, but he does repeatedly state that "judging by their involvement, the scientists prove themselves to be true masters of their trade" and so on. Is there any possibility for any of the scientists present to sue for Defamation, Slander & Libel? This firm will be released by a non-profit group, as promotional material, not to be solf, for educational and research purposes. Thank you for your time.
