Illegal Eviction of Tenant

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Georgia. I have been leaving with a family member helping them out for 1 1/2 years without any written lease agreement. I have paid my rent until the 15th of which I informed the landlord I was moving out on the date. I received a text from the family member informing me that the locks and alarm has been changed, and I can't get any of my things out. Am I able to file a case against them for not only the remaining days until the 15th as well as living in a motel expense until the 15th the time of my relocation date?

By "landlord", are you talking about your family member or your family member's landlord?
