Smile How to Appeal a Ticket for Blocking a Handicapped Parking Spot

My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Florida
I have spoken to many law enforcement officers and non of them have agreed with the ticket I was given for sitting at a curb in front of a store unknowingly blocking part of a handicapped parking spot while waiting with my engine running an lights on after midnight. Many may say I was lazy, many may say I am guilty, but no police officer I have spoken with has agreed with the fact that some police actually issued a ticket.

I am merely asking for advice on what I should do besides telling the truth. Thanks.
I know that the law states even a car stopped so by the way the law is written I am guillty but that would also apply to anyone that may stop for the sign as they leave the parking lot.

Any constructive advice would be appreciated. I'm not asking for a trial but only professional advice . Thanks
