    Default Ex Parte Communication

My question involves court procedures for the state of: New York

I am very suspicious as to the authenticity of a Justice's order filed with the county clerk in a civil case decided against me by default in New York State Supreme Court - I believe the order is a fabrication by a collection agency.

I wish to write the Justice requesting only a conformation of the authenticity of this order before I seek counsel. I have had no previous contact with anyone who is a party to the case. Would the rules of ex parte communication require that I provide a copy of said request to the plaintiff's attorneys?

    Thank you for your help.

Most if not all states have court dockets online. The order should have a case number. It should be easy to do some research and look it up.

Also, if you got the order, why didn't you get served with a complaint and summons and any other papers filed in the case? If you didn't, it could be a fake order. If that is the case, it is likely to also be a felony criminal offense of forgery.

Courts have records. Check the court records.
