Default Court Reserves Additional Sanctions if More Evidence is Discovered

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Alabama

I am little confused on a court finding.

It says the court accepts plea of guilty of Theft of Intellectual property a Class A misdemeanor.

    Probation for a 1-1/2 years.

Court reserves right to order restitution if or when submitted by victim.

Court reserves additional sanctions if more evidence is discovered.

That last one is so vague and the attorney said "don’t worry about it."

Default Re: Court Reserves Additional Sanctions if More Evidence is Discovered

Insofar as there may be more evidence to be discovered, that's something you and your lawyer would have a better chance of knowing than us.

I understand your discomfort with that type of language. It's a rare case where that would be an issue, that is, where the prosecutor would find and present more evidence the court deems relevant to its sentence (and there would be Due Process issues with its submission to the court, but that's more complexity than you need right now); I can't promise you that you're not the exception without knowing the details of your case, but I suspect your lawyer's assumption is not unreasonable.
