My question involves a foreclosure in the State of: CA
My husband passed away several months ago with no life insurance as the one he had through his employer lapsed when he was laid off. I have been selling items in order to make my mortgage payment on the manufactured home and also the lot rent, as the home is located in a park. The lot rent also includes water, sewer, and trash. In January I will be unable to make the mortgage payment and I know the lender will repossess the home after that due to no payment. I will be able to make the lot rent in January but I don't think I will be able to make the lot rent beginning in February. My question is if I fail to make the lot rent what would happen if the park started eviction procedures prior to the repossession of the home? What is the process in all of this? Would I still be liable for the back lot rent after being evicted or do they tack that on to the home? Also would be afraid that by not making the lot rent they might turn off water, sewer to the home. It's a mess and I really could use some help any advice would be greatly appreciated.
