My question involves independent contractors in the state of: NY in NYC
I was hired as an independent contractor doing web programming.
I signed an agreement to work for a period of 3 months.
On the Monday of the third week of working, they said they have to release me from my contract.
They said they need another person on a more senior level with better knowledge.
At that point I had done everything they said to do, even things that was outside of the description of the job.
So, they showed me the door.
I like to ask here is.... Can I sue for bridge of contract and claim
for the pay that is from the 3 month period agreed upon in writing?
And can I also sue for claims for other opportunities that I was offered but rejected b/c I accepted this job which ended in the third week of a three month period.
Thanks
