ive always thought k was the father but now theres doubt in my mind. k hasnt really been there for my child the most he has done is buy a case of diapers. so if he is the father the only thing that will change is that i will enforce the child support (that he has never paid). but if he isnt i will get 'p' established as the father apologize to k and his mom and move on with my life because k not being the father would be a true blessing in itself i would get over this embarrassment all for my child to have a good father in his life.

You should start googling "coparenting", because it sounds like you're going to be involved with K for a long time to come.

No... it has nothing to do with a private DNA test. Your problem is that you signed a form saying that this dude was dad. 60 days has passed and the time for you to say.. wait, I changed my mind, maybe this dude is dad has passed.

Private DNA or otherwise, you only have a short amount of time to play musical daddies, then whoever you picked as the father of this child is dad until and unless someone ELSE wants to step forward. In other words, unless P wants to do something about making himself the legal father of this child, you are stuck with who you picked... forever.

I don't think you're understanding ...

In Ohio, you only have 60 days to rescind the AOP. At this point, IF there is a possibility that paternity can be challenged, it WILL take a court action.

but i do understand the affadavit is signed and its final ...............unless someone else establishes paternity ...............im not playing musical anything i had sex with 'k' and the next week had sex with 'p' the child estimated due date was around the same time me and 'k' had sex so i had ruled 'p' out but now that im lookin at my child and 'p' they favor each other alot so i want to make sure that i didnt make a big mistake the end

Oh, if he's ordered to pay child support there's a pretty good chance he's going to want to see his child.

People make mistakes theres no reason to bring up my wrongdoings when they are clearly apparent. I came on here looking for help with the matter at hand not someone wagging their finger in front of my face. When me and 'k' were together his true colors didnt come out until I got pregnant, how can you know how someone will react to an experience if they have never experienced it before? Well clearly he failed at this life experience but that doesnt change the fact that I will be there for my son with or without him having his bio dad in his life.

All I was doing was trying to point out that it's not all K's fault, as you initially implied.

We're all responsible for our actions, including actually getting to know someone before we decide that they're good parent material.
