Default Can I Get a Record Sealed for a Felony

My question involves expungements or pardons for the state of: Alabama
Can I get a record sealed and removed from my record? Alabama dose not expunge, so if I can get a record sealed will it then not be an issue with me getting a job. I can not get a job in the insurance industry with a felony. I have 3 DUI convictions in AL. which the third rolled Felony. What are my options to have this removed or something so I can get a job. This Felony charge was 8 yrs. ago and I can not seam to get away from it no matter how I try. I do not have as much as a J walking ticket on my record since.

Even sealing a record doesn't mean it disappears altogether. It would STILL show for purposes of licensing for insurance (under federal law), medical, law enforcement, and other fields. Alabama doesn't automatically disqualify you from licensing for felony DUI, only for the listed felonies, which tend to center around financial, fraud, or other crimes involving "dishonesty"...but the commissioner can deny ANY application where there is a felony conviction. If that happens, you can appeal. You really should at least consult with an employment attorney in AL before getting your heart set on an industry that won't license you.

I am being turned down for job applications and business opportunities daily because of this Felony, not all but 90% of employers do not care what the offence is, I am looking for a way to get this off a background check and move on with my life.

You picked a bad state to get a felony conviction in. Alabama doesn't expunge or otherwise hide criminal records when there has been a conviction. Even a pardon from the Governor won't change that. The reality is that you're going to have to figure out a line of work where the conviction won't impact licensing or other aspects of the job, and then compete against all the unemployed folks who DON'T have felony convictions (which is a LOT of competition right now). But without a time machine to un-do the crime, the criminal conviction remains public record in your state.
