Exclamation Removing Misdemeanor Failure to Appear From My Record

My question involves a background check in the State of: New Mexico. I am in the need for an answer that involves a misdemenor for failure to appear in court back in 2007. I was unaware of the misdemenor until it was shown on my background. They stated that I need to provide data supporting the claim. The ticket is for not having insurance at time of traffic stop. I took care of the court case and I was unaware that I now have a misdemenor on my record.
Is there any option to have the judge remove the Failure to Appear on my record?
Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

    Thanks

Default Re: Removing Misdemeanor Failure to Appear From My Record

I don't see a way to expunge an adult criminal conviction for this type of offense in New Mexico. I suggest consulting a local lawyer about examining the procedural history of your case to see if your plea was properly taken, or if there may be another way to attack or set aside the conviction.
