Default Statute of Limitations for a Felony in California

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California I had a felony arrest 12 years ago in San Diego County,Ca. It was a dui causing personal injury to another party. How can I get a record of any outstanding warrants, and find out how a statute of limitations may apply.

If you were arrested and charged but fled prior to trial, there is a 99.99% likelihood that an arrest warrant was issued for you. Warrants do not expire...EVER. They can only be withdrawn by the issuing court. The SOL on the original charge freezes when you flee.

Agreed. The only thing that would make this particular warrant expire would be your own death.

If there is a civil case attached for injury to the other party, that would actually survive your death and attach to your estate.

You can inquire with the court where your case was scheduled... or have an attorney do so on your behalf.
I am right 97% of the time... Who cares about the other 4%!

Once prosecution commences, statute of limitations ceases to apply. You don't get a break for being a fugitive.
