    Default Assault by a Spouse with Alzheimer's Disease

    My question involves a marriage in the state of:GA. My mothers husband has alzhimers and he punched her in the eye,she called the police he was arrested.Should she try to get gaurdianship over him?

    You mean she hasn't already? Yes, she should petition for guardianship of the poor fellow. If he's not already incapable of making informed decisions for himself, it won't be long before he is. He needs someone to look out for his best interests.

    Though, if she's going to call the police and have him arrested when he acts out, she might look to putting him into full-time care.
