I Want My Grandparents to Have Custody

My question involves guardianship in the State of: kansas and texas

im 16 and i live in kansas. my parents just got divorced less than a year ago. im feeling very threatened by my dad and wont go see him lately, i try to ignor his calls and seeing him. i live with my mom most of the time. and i absolutly love her. however i think i would be helping myself a tonnnnn more if i lived in texas. my mom does not want to move though. i have permission from my grandparents to live with them, how can i do this?? if i get my moms permission do i need my dads? if i do how do i get my dad to have no say ( which i want to do anyway) and it my mom says no, can i still move and have my grandparents be my gaurdians. also in kansas im having a very hard time with school, im truent and im still not going to school all the time. i think moving would give me a clean slate and i would want to go to school. i lived in texas until i was 12/13 and it is my home! i want to go back... what should i do and what can i do?? thanks

You should ask your mom to seek guardianship... yes, it will have to go to court and yes, dad will have to also agree.

I will say that the "I will go to school there because it is my home" is an absolutely terrible excuse. Are you saying that you have knowingly sabotaged your own education just to move back to Texas?

no i do not want to put my education on the line. and that is a great point. its just so hard to go to school here when i hate it so much. not only do i hate the school but i also hate the area and the situations here. im just stuck

Sometimes we have to literally "suck it up". Millions of kids - myself included - hated school.

That's not a reason for custody or guardianship to be switched.
