    Question Release of Liability

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Massachusetts

My husband's daughter wants us to store her car on our property while she is away at boot camp and reserves training. I am hesitant to do so because her mother has done nothing but make our lives a living hell for 2 decades now. My step daughter has helped her mother manipulate us and squeeze as much money out of us as they can bringing us close to bankruptcy. She has proven over and over again even now that we cannot trust her at all. I am afraid that if any damage is done to this vehicle while she is away we will be in court again.

There is not a spot on our property that does not have a tree that could loose a limb and fall on this car. Plus I have three other children and a small after school program. Is there any kind of release I can have her sign before she leaves relieving us from monetary responsibility if something happens to this car?

I would like to help out because I do want to help her, but if helping her has the potential for harming my family more than the answer will be no. thank you for your time

If you're that worried, tell her to find a different place to park the car.

I do expect that with a bit of searching on your favorite search engine, or a review of the form books for your state at an area law school library, you'll find a release that would cover your concerns. Drafting such a provision goes beyond what can reasonably be done in a forum like this one.
